A strong relationship requires each partner to choose to love one another, even in those moments when you struggle to like each other.
I believe that having a healthy relationship is the core foundation for success in all other areas of life. And while we go to school for many years to learn life skills, most of us do not get any formal training in how to find a healthy relationship nor how to maintain it.
When couples face the day-to-day stress of children, finances, in-laws, and a hectic modern-day lifestyle, the warm glow of the honeymoon phase fades and that person that we were so attracted to can become a source of unmet expectations. But that’s the bad news. The good news is that couples can get back to that place they once knew and often with a greater sense of connection, personal growth, and commitment than before.
In my work, I assist couples to understand how each partners life story has brought them to exactly where they are. I act as a coach to assist couples to change relational behaviors that cause distress. Secondly, I assist couples to resolve the core concerns causing conflicts between partners, and thirdly, I work to teach the couple effective communication skills that successful couples utilize to create and maintain greater intimacy and problem-solving.
